My road to a new beginning took some unexpected turns. My story begins when I was 11 or 12 years old and had my first taste of beer when working on my uncles farms and continued for the next fifty years! The love and desire of beer was becoming ever more a part of my life the past 5 years as physical impairments and surgeries increased and the pain continued. Drinking made it bearable. Part of my daily routine was deciding where I had to go and what package store I would go by on my way home from work.

Then last year as my wife and I contemplated our yearly vacation to our timeshare on the island of Saint Maarten we thought that it would be a nice change to visit one of the other islands that are part of our timeshare’s package. My meeting with Rhonda was a life altering experience that you who have first-hand knowledge can relate to it. I know I am not the first and will not be the last to say ‘That it was as if a light switch was turned off’. That is how dramatic the results were. I now have no desire, need or want to drink alcohol.

I am thankful every day for what initially was a horrible vacation that resulted in the discovery of Rhonda Lenair and her truly remarkable gift and to a wonderful wife who stood by me for these past 36 years. I love you both.
